@jackmack,
Need a little more info as I'm not certain what kind of start date you are referring to.
His backtest started 1/1/13 and I believe he downloads 1 year of data from Google each night so I'm not sure where 11/1/16 is coming from.
Thanks,
Ed S.

@nibor100 that might be what is tripping me up.
I will review the files again and see if that is indeed what I need to change (the data returned date for greater than 1 year) in order to review trades before the 11/1/16 date - I bet you are spot on.
Thank you

@nibor100 - yes it is the "evaluation period" that I need to change.
How do you set it to start at a date other than the 11/1/16 date?
Kevin_in_GA - I do not want to turn this thread int a Q & A on SS - I got everything else working great
its just this one thing that has me tied up - sorry to have to ask here

@manumoneya,
That's a tough one...I checked the SS help file and the SS forums and found no solution to your -1% problem.
I guess it could be a SS processing error....if so maybe closing SS and all other open programs and restart your PC might clear something in memory that could be causing the problem. (Sometimes Excel will have calculation issues and closing and restarting often solves them for Excel)
Last resort uninstall and reinstall SS either the Kevin provided link version or the Simplegolpadia provided link version as they are different versions of SS.

Does anyone know why my friend and I, using the same numbers, are coming up with different results? I have a sell on #34 and he doesn't. Thanks.

Yes, (after initial download from yahoo to Excel, then using ACSII a week ago) we have been manually updating daily. Setups>Price and Symbols setups... Thanks.

tennisplayer2: It just happens. Two people can use the exact same data and once in a while a filter will trigger for one and not the other. Sometimes they will sync the following day.
