9/15/2010 10:14:00 AM Joining the club here - in SPXU at 29.00 this morning. Profit stop in at 29.75 right now - may move this up if warranted. I have a series of major index filters (long and short) - one of the short filters fired off last night which has been 10 for 11 in the last 365 days, with an averge return of 0.97% in 3 days. So far this year it has been 4/4 on the ^SPX. It also called to short the ^IXIC (3/3 so far with an average gain of 1.63% in 3.3 days). |

9/15/2010 11:07:43 AM Also on board for this one. We're at the top of a trading range, near the upper BB, overbought on Stochastics, and the ROC(12) on the VXX:SPY has reversed direction. Probably near the exhaustion of a near-term trend market rally. Barring a significant revitalization in economic fundamentals, smart money's going to have to start accumulating in higher volumes for bulls to overtake August highs. Biased to the downside IMHO. |

(ie. 1150 on the ^SPX) --- FWIW ... a "decisive" break ABOVE ... the ^SPX 1130 area ... would prolly have me seriously reconsidering this "SHORT" trade !!! |
