Profit stop in at 29.75 right now - may move this up if warranted. I have a series of major index filters (long and short) - one of the short filters fired off last night which has been 10 for 11 in the last 365 days, with an averge return of 0.97% in 3 days. So far this year it has been 4/4 on the ^SPX. It also called to short the ^IXIC (3/3 so far with an average gain of 1.63% in 3.3 days). +++++++++ I'm feeling a little better this morning - unfortunately that highly accurate filter I referred to in my earlier post told me to exit last Friday at a 0.5% loss (1.5% on the SPXU). My SPXU trade is down 2.4% right now, but I am feeling that it will break even by Monday or Tuesday of next week. Maybe sooner ... |

9/24/2010 9:19:25 AM Weekly topping tails - have you looked at whether or not these are meaningful? Your filter uses daily data, so I'm curious if the same strategy is profitable when applied to weekly candles. Looking at the futures, we are all about to give back any gains made this week. Hopefully there will be a solid reversal going into the lunch hour. |
