10/27/2009 5:21:40 PM uhhh...some of the aforementioned (intra-day) "Tails" got...well..."tucked" (so to speak)...but, many didn't ! Many morphed into ODRs and ROCdiv...and...so...what can I say...I "nibbled" !!! That is to say...I got LONG some names ! fwiw ----- Actually, I believe the "trend" of short-term momentum is (still) bearish...and... ...am therefore approaching these LONG positions as counter-trend trades ! Risky ? Somewhat ! |

10/28/2009 4:35:50 PM alf44, looks like the market is either in pull back or in correction mode. With your filter on the QQQQ, DIA, SPY, and IWM, the close 26 days ago is now above the Chikou, and also the close is below Kijun. Thanks for sharing your filter. |

10/28/2009 5:13:05 PM mrkx, Thanks for the comments...and... I agree with your assessments ! FWIW...the filter nailed the recent turn (ie. top) to the precise day and I called it here in this thread. Yesterday I decided to git cute and "go all countertrend and shit"...and got LONG for what was supposed to be a "quickie" ! The trades were small so I haven't sustained much damage (yet) ...I actually added a bit more today...time will tell if I regret it. Thanks again for the input ! Regards, alf44 |
