4/21/2010 12:15:14 PM Here it is: Spread a minimum of three months BARRONS , WSJ and IBD on the floor over a 10x10 area. Make sure to have the market chart pages facing up. Get a stick, or better yet a branch in the shape of a "Y" . Use as a "divining rod" and slowly walk over the papers, eyes closed, facing down.... Market direction will soon be known....... 4/21/2010 10:43:54 PM *Over the years, I have used Parabolic SAR a lot ... it is completely unique in it's intended use. I think it's maybe time to give this indicator another look. I have added Parabolic SAR to this filter's "group of indicators" ... and have updated the original post of this thread. fwiw ---------- A fairly eclectic mix of Technical Indicators are included in this "filter / system" ... to be sure ... BUT... I feel like this "old school" Parabolic SAR addition COULD be a nice tweak to the "filter / system" ... as it adds an additional visual to the chart set-up ... and provides both Trend information ... as well as possible Entry and Exit considerations. It ALSO adds (fairly significantly) to the GOAL ... of making this MORE than a "filter" ...but, rather...an actual "trading system" ... for screening, analyizing and facilitating trade decisions. I'll play around with it for a while and see how it works out and fits in ... "within the context of the other indicators" in the "filter / system" ! |
