HI RAY,i will always look for failures from the past day or 2,i feel these are VERY strong canidates,as i feel the odds are in our favor for a turnaround,in the case of DPH not only was it a failure from 5-21 but it was a match from 5-23 giving me extra cause to watch it,it had a tail and volume increase so all i needed was to see green at open today, again all i want to see is green today at open,i don't care how far they have fallen since their failure, actually the farther the better as all they have to do is to get back to that price they were on the original filter and you've made a nice, quick gain in most cases.....any other ?'s,just ask......MUDDY

Hey Muddy,
Out of the list from yesterday, TSO, APWRE and TMM have issues such as downgrade to sell, issues with Chapter 11, CFO resigning. Should we as investors
look to buy these stocks as per your filter or my personal opinion is that we should stay away from these stocks, there always be another day.
What do you say?
Thanks,
Ravi

HI RSINGH, if you go back to my 4-30 7:43 post i explain how i feel about "news",i don't follow it about any stock and do not care what any analyst has to say,i just try to trade the matches unemotional and strickly by the rules, whatever play comes up at the time i have an opening, that's what i play..i would bet that if you dug deep enough most of these companies have some bad news somewhere, that's why they are down at the bottom bb's,many at or near there 52 week lows, please understand that this is just my way,i've gotten many quick, big gains like this and am very comfortable with it,if someone is not then this method may not be for them .... take care, MUDDY

Thanks Muddy for the response.
Today is a good example to prove your point.
Both APWRE and TMM jumped more than 10% even though with bad news.
So I guess I will follow the rules.
By the way, it's an awesome filter. You just have to have patience with low
volume stocks.
Regards,
Ravi

you are welcome,RSINGH,believe me i know it can be very hard to ignore the news, but after seeing so many of these "bad news" stocks make quick, sharp gains over the past year and a half i came to realize that this method is simply a game of momentum, they will have recent downgrades,we catch them as they start their move up hopefully with our entry method, couple of days later the same analysts upgrade them as they start their climb, but we are already in them ahead of the others at a much better price, then it turns in to the game of supply and demand, when they get near the topp bb,everybody wants in,that's when we are getting ready to take our profits and move on to the next one....GOOD LUCK

HI DEFGHA,boy,am i glad somebody asked this ? here's the story,a few weeks back i got an email from someone who went through a hot streak on CS couple of years ago who said that he was sure that members there started playing his picks with real $ and when the stocks had a little pullback, all the nervous guys sold for real as he noticed the stocks would continue to fall what he felt was abnormal,he pulled his picks off and it stopped,so since i had built up a 4 star rating from 1 star in a matter of days,in order to protect myself, friends and you folks on SF i pulled all 40 off, replacing them with $1-$2 stocks that i knew had good candle patterns BUT not our bb method,in days again i dropped to a 1 star so i felt that in a couple weeks it would be safe to start adding them again, every pick from 5-23 and moving up starting with IFX is a bb method match,it looks like right now they are 27 for 30,the port with all bb picks made the top 40(from what i've heard about 2500-3000 open ports) in 6 weeks, ive read that it usually takes a good trader/method 2-3years to get there,i've gone from 38th to 10th just in the past week by adding a few picks a day....since i manage my real acct and 4 others for friends i do not have time during the day to mess with it,so i just punch em in the night before with no idea of a green open and do not use stops as they often times don't trip out on CS anyway,i left the last batch on 4 weeks and started replacing with fresh ones ......MUDDY

Muddy,
How do you trade at 8:40 when the charts are 20 minute delay and do not show any trades until 8:50? Or do you just go by the real time quotes, and figure it is green if it opens above the previous close?
Do you know of a free charting service that gives real time charts?
Dick

HI DICK, i believe you meant trade at 9:40,any brokerage account you trade in will give realtime quotes, the one i use and i think a few others have just a $500 minimum to open,.....freerealtime.com used to give realtime quotes for just registering free but they may have stopped since i last checked,i know of no one else.......MUDDY
