11/10/2009 1:10:50 AM The big story - will S&P will get through 1100..... DNR.... why is this so beat up OXPS looks like its making a turn up... GMCR pull back or rip higher will be ready BKS ..... nice story with a new e-reader thing on a side note in my fake money account I traded the spread on RRGB into earnings I bought 100 of the 20 calls and 100 of the 15 puts...... cost was around 6k made $900 profit... now if it would have stayed between the 2 strikes I would have lost. I guess you could then sell the inside puts and calls after the earnings to try and cover your losses but would need lots of cash tied up in your account to cover the underlying....like an Iron Condor |

11/11/2009 9:21:29 PM totaly blew the SVA trade today.......i was going to try and swing it...... I dont know what made me think this is a good time to start a swing --- the market is in limbo with no edge, should have took profits as it spiked.... I was in right open.......anyway I put this down as another lesson. Sold F for a 2% gain.... |

11/11/2009 9:35:38 PM DPTR may have bottomed ...... for the record I am in this and taking a beating... the good news is the price to book is $7.00 they own a ton of drilling rights... its funny the more I hold a bad trade the more I find out about that company... I did know the price to book before entering the trade... they had some bad news, some well was a dry hole hence the selloff.... |
