Geez - If they are delisted class actions will be filed. Holders will receive pennies on the dollar if that.

"Investors" won't get sh*+...
It's like going to the blackjack table, and then suing the casino because you lost your money.
ETFs are not an "investment".

Credit Suisse has the right, according to the prospectus, to liquidate the ETN (VIX) in the event of an 80 percent move in the ETN, which after hours seems to be the case.

Karen,

Please provide a summary/primer on your statement:
You must study instrinsic and extrinsic value. If you don't understand how TIME value works in options trading, then you will get f'd eventually.

Sorry guys. I didn't mean to go "Anna Navarro" on you this morning. LOL!
Please PRAY that I didn't destroy my laptop when I spilled water on it yesterday.

na na, na na na na heeeeyyyyy gooodbye...for those of you thinking about real estate investment and development, XIV is a great example of why i left it. this happens in real estate investment as well. the only difference is you have no ability to exit in real estate and you watch your net worth drop. I do not recommend it, even though you will make a ton once in a while.

This whole thread was started showing when one should got out of XIV- One can see that when thing really went to hell in a hand basket that sellers really kicked in to see who could get out the fastest. GREED ! I'm sure there are even fund mangers who were playing XIV.

One can see XIV was going down - To me one should have been out short term long before the CRAP hit the fan!

Mac, you are correct once again. and i certainly hope people dont think i am celebrating people's losses. i just think it pays to be cautious, small positions, tight stops.

@ Mac,
Do you know how to enhance that Guppy filter by adding the flip from short to long and vice versa.
It would actually be two separate filters; one when it flips from short to long and the other when it flips from long to short.

Or anyone .... know how to write that?
