Big Option Play of the Day - EXEL

A premium of $8.3 million of 10,000 5/18 24 Call for $8.30 was bought when stock was at $30.54. Ask was $8.40 suggesting this is a fresh buy. OI should confirm tomorrow. Break even of $32.30 would bring it up to resistance. Its weekly 52 week R-Square is .68 so its nothing to write home about. Earnings is in late February so this might be the catalyst to create new 52 week high. This big block purchase helped its total Calls vs Puts volume to 90%-10%, but its order sentiment of 45% is well below its 30-day avg of 77%.

If OI confirm it's a fresh buy, then my buy point is $30.75.

Something wicked this way comes for Gold Miners? There were a total of 6000+ 2/16 39 Calls going between .05-.10 when stock was around $21.30. Someone thinks something will happen fast as this expires next month!

Big Option Volume Play of the Day - AKS

A premium of $603,900 was spent on 18,300 2/16 7 Calls for .33 when stock was at $6.42. This one purchase was more than 10 times more than the next of $58K. Its total Calls vs Puts volume was 89%-11% and its order sentiment was 88%, much higher than its 30-day avg of 73%.

Break even is $7.33 is 10.23% away from its closing price of $6.65. Weekly chart shows consolidating for three weeks so a break out is imminent. Monthly chart even look tastier as the Stochastics just crossed above 20. I LOVE these short term plays and you should too!

Yesterday's spotlight - EXEL

OI did confirm the 10,000 5/18 24 Calls for $8.30 were bought when stock was at $30.54 was indeed a fresh buy. Even the big players don't see their successes right away as EXEL took a -7.28% tumble today which in turn dropped the Calls to $5.80, a -30.12% day. This will give the retail buyer a great opportunity to enter at a sale price. A good buy point might be once it crosses above the daily 50 MA which is currently $27.71.

Nice on the Dust info. I guess I'm on the right side of that trade with short Jnug.

I would love if you were to throw a couple etf plays at us each week. Even if they don't meet your criteria,
Just kind of a what to look out for.

I'm not as well versed in ETFs as you Shils, but I can try. I find that the majority of options plays for ETFs are Spreads so sometimes it's hard to judge. I've only bought NUGT in the past as I've found 3x ETFs can decimate your options fast if it goes against you. I might dip my toes into DUST as it's at support and its total Calls vs Puts volume today was 74-26%. Order sentiment today was 89% which is incredible for a 3X ETF. It dwarfs its 30-day avg of 47%. I'm thinking DUST might run for 2-4 days which is all you need for a 3X ETF to double your option price.

Even if it's just Hey, Drv looks a little interesting, or check out Drip. That would be good confirmation.
Thanx 15.

Big Option Volume Play of the Day - MAT

A total of 17,329 repeated buys of the 1/26 16.50 Calls between .23 and .40 when stock was between $14.95 & $15.54. The largest purchase was only $60K, but it was enough to warrant a follow as this expires next week. Its total Calls vs Puts volume pct was 91-9 and its order sentiment was an astounding 97%, much much higher than its 30-day avg of 35%.

Break even is between $16.73 and $16.90 which is 11% away from its closing price of $15.23. Somebody knows something is about to come down the line to move the stock this much in only a week. This would almost be a Herculean move for MAT as it has gained over 10% in a week only twice over the past 52 weeks.

DISCLAIMER: I bought in at .30.

Yesterday's spotlight - AKS 2/16 7 Call .33, Stock $6.42

AKS was not able to have a follow through day today after a big day yesterday. It ended up down -1.50% which put the option price down to .43 which is still higher than the .33 purchase price. The buyer is still sitting on a 30% gain.

DUST 2/16 39 Call .05-.10, Stock $21.30

DUST was up 4.30% to $22.30 but the option price remained at .05. It needs to move big & fast in order to see a change in premium as it's so far out of the money right now.
