Cool! Thank you... I've been consuming as much as possible from your posts both here and at the other group's board, although I must confess I had a tuff time finding it even AFTER I joined! How sad on my part! Thankful for favorites:)

EWZuber and txtrapper:

I looged on to prophet.net to find out that your wish has been granted by their Genie (my observation could be delayed.) See below, re: new chart features, including Heiken-Ashi and latest others.

--------------------------------------
Another build, more great new features:
* Attention Penny-Stock-Traders: Four-decimal price charting is here - now you can view stock prices down to the hundredth of a cent!
* Five new studies for Premium Members (Not a member? Take a 7-Day Free Trial!)
* Displaced EMA (Exponential Moving Average) - Similar to the Displaced Moving Average (DMA), this new study plots an exponential moving average and shifts it left (negative displacement) or right (positive displacement). Please don't confuse this new study with DEMA, which stands for Double-Exponential Moving Average.
* MADC Hist+2 lines - This new MACD variation combines the Histogram and 2-Line formats into a single window
* Heiken-Ashi Diff - A trend indicator described by Dan Valcu in the February 2004 edition of "Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities Magazine"
* Trend Quality and Trend Noise Balance Indicators - Described by David Sepiashvili in the April 2004 edition of "Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities Magazine"
* Inverse Fisher Transform and Cyber Cycles - Described by John Ehlers in the May 2004 edition of "Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities Magazine"

Send comments to feedback@prophet.net.
-----------------------------------------------------

Happy Filtering...even though Stockcharts.com has the best chart quality, prophet.net has way more integration and features.

Todays move in ASX was what I was looking for. Missed the entry this morning though because my RT charts went down at the exact moment of the open and shortly after that my trading platform went down. Its always something.
Also missed the premo entry on BVEW.

I havn't looked at that momentum indicator, but I would bet that this morning when ASX broke TL Resistance, Heikin-Ashi was not giving a buy indication. Momentum indicators are, by their nature, lagging indicators and only give buy signals after the premo entry has already passed.
They probably work much better for momentum players but thanks anyway.

ASX...as a matter of fact the *Heikin-Ashi Technique did give a "buy signal" at the end of the day on 3/26 "before the big move".

Heikin-Ashi Technique..The heikin-ashi method (heikin means "average" or "balance" in Japanese, while ashi means "foot" or "bar") is a visual technique that eliminates irregularities from a normal chart, offering a better picture of trends and consolidations.

You can take a look at it at Propher.net.

I went to Phrophet.net but couldn't find that indicator.
Maybe you have to subscribe or sign up for the free trial to access it?

I was thinking about the use of another indicator and I really don't think that it would have made any difference getting back into ASX.
Getting out was not a problem since TLs & Stochastics got me out without any losses.
At the close on the 26th I was concerned about the action in the Taiwan market since the stock trades over there when the NYSE is closed. ASX was very oversold on the Daily and Hourly chart, indicating that the bottom was likely very near, but I couldn't be confident that it couldn't go lower overseas and break below MA support causing the stock to gap down below support at the open here the next morning. Decisions on these ADRs have to be made with only half of the chart and half of the TA.
It was this added variable that made trading it unusually challenging so I traded on the side of safety. Re-entering would not have been a problem except my charts and then the whole trading platform went offline and there was a technical entry offered that morning.
I like to keep the system as streamlined as possible so that decisions can be made quickly. If I ever get Phrophet charts I'll definitely check it out.

Bought some ANCC today @ $1.11 and ECGI @ $0.81.
Stochastics look a bit overbought on ANCC on the Hourly chart but it hasn't broken TL Support yet. Buying voloume was good in the first half of the session.

ECGI broke short term TL Resistance on the hourly chart in the final hour of the session with relatively good volume, indicating a likely move higher tomorrow morning.
I suspect that BVEW will move up tomorrow, it closed above the 25 WK.MA @ 3.50 but dead on the short term TL. Need to see that TL broken.

Bought BVEW @ $3.41. Looks like it may be a bottom.
Closed ANCC.
